Black Tie Autumn Wedding In Cloughjordan House
“Dasha I can’t even describe how delighted we are with the photos! You captured the day perfectly!! So many funny moments and happy memories!
Thank you so much!! We really really love them all!!”
Kate & Bryan
Kate and Bryan are both from Cork, but had their wedding in a beautiful Cloughjordan House in October last year. They wanted a day with their closest family and friends and for everyone to feel relaxed and have fun.
They picked a venue where their guests could simply arrive on Friday or Saturday and not have to worry about anything until Monday. Kate and Bryan are also big foodies, so Cloughjordan was a great choice with their emphasis on Irish seasonal ingredients, much of which come from their own kitchen garden.
It was my first time photographing a wedding in Cloughjordan and I absolutely loved the venue! It has a variety of different spaces like the old manor house which is full of character and old charm, a beautiful rustic ballroom, a woodshed which can be used for ceremonies and which you can put your own stamp on with decor etc. If you are planning an outdoor civil or humanist ceremony, there is also a forest area and a huge lawn with the house as a backdrop.
The venue grounds are very compact, which means you don’t have to spend much time walking between locations for photos. Cloughjordan House certainly provides a variety of locations for both family and couple’s photos depending on what you are after.
Despite planning a black tie wedding Kate and Bryan wanted their photos to be candid and to capture the little moments of happiness throughout the day. I created a mix of images for them which showed the sense of location, with some elegant images taken in and around the manor house, with some more informal relaxed photos in the gardens, whilst taking in the beautiful autumnal colours.
Hope you enjoy the small selection of images below, and if you are planning a wedding get in touch to discuss how we can work together :)
