Ballynahinch Castle Wedding In Connemara

It’s always nice to photograph friends of my past couples. Sarah was a bridesmaid at one of my weddings in Adare Manor last year and when she and Tom got engaged she messaged me shortly after they set their wedding date. Needless to say I was delighted I was available :)

It was an early summer wedding in the beautiful Ballynahinch Castle in Connemara. Connemara is quite unique and the couple wanted to make sure to capture the setting in their photos. We headed to the Pine Island viewpoint which provides magnificent views over the national park straight after the ceremony. We were lucky to be the only ones there, as usually the spot is popular with tourists.

The drinks reception and evening took place in the Ballynahinch Castle, where the guests enjoyed the views over the river and a beautiful summer evening.

Roy Leigh was looking after the bride and bridal party’s hair, Gavin from Dreamcatcher was on video, Mark from Shop The Garden designed beautiful lush flowers, Peter Kelly from Weddings By Franc planned the day, and DJ Tommy Elliot rocked the dance floor into early hours.
